Wigtownshire Women’s Aid

We are a confidential service that provides information, support and temporary safe accommodation for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse

At Wigtownshire Women’s Aid we strive to ensure that we treat all service users, staff and volunteers with respect and provide a positive and safe space to access services and work in. We are aware that there may be additional barriers to accessing support for people who identify as having a protected characteristic. These are:

Age
Disability
Religion and Belief
Gender
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual

Transgender Identity
Race
Pregnancy and Maternity
Marriage and Civil Partnership Status

Are there any of these that you believe would impact on you or the service that you receive that you would like to tell us about? If so, please let us know either via website, by telephoning 01776-703104 or calling at Wigtownshire Women’s Aid office at 22 Bellevilla Road, Stranraer, DG9 8ED.

We provide information, support and safe refuge accommodation if you need it. If you want to find out more about your options or simply want to talk in confidence, Wigtownshire Women’s Aid are here for you.

If you are not sure if you are suffering from domestic abuse and you want to find out what domestic abuse is or what kind of support is available, please follow the links on our website for more information.
